Introduction and history

My name is Tanja Jälkö and I'm owner of kennelname Katrill nowadays. I have owned borzois since 1988 and I have two American blodline borzois from Norway at the moment, Ch Le Spinx Faina and Le Sphinx Kiss A Flower "Pinja". I have also 4 King Charles Spaniels, C.I.B and Nord Ch Rossbell's King Lear "Leevi" and Fi Ch Marjaniemen Moonmaid "Misty", and their doughters Katrill Lady Louise "Lissu" and Katrill Little Lady "Lilli". My first dog was King Charles Spaniel Anncourt Romy Sneider "Romi" (born 1979). Kennel is a little homekennel, located in Vaasa, Finland.

My parents Elli and Martti Jälkö established the kennelname in 1988. They bred 10 litters of English Bulldogs during 1989-1998 (KoiraNet) and one litter of Basset Fauve de Bretagnes in 1998 (KoiraNet). Their English Bulldog breeding based on two different lines, bitches Meriwia Nordic Necky and Packabuch Tiara from England. Katrill Bob Upp was one of Tiara's well succeed daughter. All three Bassets in 1998 litter are champions. I continued and bred one litter of Bassets in 2003.

My mother still ownes one Basset Fauve de Bretagne Katrill Cinnamon "Nora". Before the kennelname my parents bred 4 King Charles Spaniel litters and one litter of borzois (Metsänreunan Amor - Anastasia) with one puppy (Kalinka) in 1976. My father had dogs since 60's, also Finnish hounds and Cavalier King Charles Spaniels before English Bulldogs.
